Finding student accommodation
Dublin is a great city for students, with plenty of accommodation options to choose from. Whether you're looking for a student-only residence or want to live in a more traditional apartment, there are plenty of choices out there.
We recommend opting for the homestay option, if you’re comfortable living with a local family. A homestay can be a great way to learn more about the city’s people and culture. However you may prefer a private rental for either apartments or houses, there's a wide variety of these too, especially if you’ve found fellow classmates to live with.
Get to know your classmates
A great way to settle in is making new friends! This will make your school experience much more enjoyable. Take some time getting acquainted with your classmates before classes start- it will make for an enjoyable first day together (and maybe even encourage those bonding moments).
Join a social club or sport
If you're new to Dublin, one of the best ways to get involved and meet people is to join a club. Club activities can range from going out on hikes, to taking part in more serious pursuits like politics or cooking. Whatever your interests, there's likely a club for you. By joining a group, you'll not only meet other people with similar passions, but also learn about what makes your new home unique.
